The National Aerospace Laboratories, which is under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, is looking for technical assistants. There are a total of 36 posts that NAL aims to fulfill through this recruitment.

The 36 technical assistant positions are divided as follows for candidates: 15 candidates from the General Category, 08 candidates from OBC, 06 candidates from SC, 04 posts from ST, and 03 posts for EWS candidates.
Candidates should have a degree or diploma in ECE, Mechanical, Chemical, Computer Science, Physics, Multimedia, Metallurgy, Electrical, Aerospace, or Instrumentation with 02 years of work experience.
The candidates must have at least a 60% percentage in Diploma or Engineering. However, PwD candidates with low vision or orthopedic disabilities have an exception where a 40% percentage is accepted.
The selection process for the role will have the following steps:
Candidates will be evaluated for Paper 2 and Paper 3 only if they qualify for Paper 1. The final merit list will be prepared based on the marks scored by the candidates in Paper 2 and Paper 3.
Paper 1 will have 50 questions related to the Mental Ability Test. The mental ability test will include questions from General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, Problem Solving, and more. Two marks will be awarded for each correct answer, and there is no negative marking.
Paper 2 will contain 25 questions from General Awareness and 25 questions from the English Language. Each question will carry 3 marks and a penalty of minus 1 for every incorrect answer.
Paper 3 will consist of 100 questions from the candidate's relevant subject. Each correct answer will carry 3 marks, while each incorrect answer will incur a penalty of minus 1.
The date, time, and examination center will be shared with the candidates via email after the closing of the online application phase.
Candidates should be able to produce original documents when requested for verification. Failure to produce the original documents will result in the cancellation of the candidature.
Candidates must be Indian citizens. Applicants for this role must be above 18 and below 28 years of age. However, there is an age relaxation that applies to candidates from SC/ST/OBC categories as below:
The candidates from General/OBC have an application fee of Rs. 500, while the candidates from SC/ST/PwD/Women and Ex-Servicemen do not have to pay any application fee.

The selected candidates may be required to serve anywhere in India; they should be prepared to relocate to the assigned area.
The date of birth recorded by the candidates on the online application should be the same as that on their matriculation/secondary school certificate.
